Eric's Aunt's House

Five minutes. Five minutes was all that was left until Selia would walk out of the house, and the wedding would start. It had gone by so fast, like some unknown force was making time go faster. All the guests were in their seats, but the bridesmaids and members of the wedding party hadn't gone out yet. Selia's father had politely declined the invitation to the wedding, jackass that he was, so she was going to walk down alone, not really knowing Jake's father enough. How depressing. She had gotten the dress on successfully, and her hair was all up, the makeup successfully done by Jake and Eric's family. Selia nearly snuck a peek out of the door, but restrained herself.

Jake was out there, talking with a few people, looking a bit pale. He looked tall and sleek with the black tuxedo he was wearing, and with his matching black hair gelled back on the sides. He had a faint, wavery smile and was shaking people's hands on his way into where he was to be standing when Selia came out. He looked quite nervous.

"Wait!" cried Jake's mother, grabbing Selia and spinning her around with a quick wave of her wand. A strange lavender wave went around Selia, making her look almost glowing. "There, now you look like a true bride." she said with a nod of her head. She then took her light red cardigan and draped it over her shoulders. "Let's go downstairs, girls, where we'll meet your escort."

"Okay... Okay.. Deep breaths. Don't worry. It's just like you're going on a date. Except the date is huge, and will last the rest of your life." Selia was muttering to herself. She picked up the bouquet, a pretty lavender and white thing, and went downstairs. About three minutes were left. Gosh, she was nervous. Will I get sand all over my dress? Does sand itch? Stop thinking about it, and it won't itch.

Soon, she entered the doors to the backyard by the beach, where Eric greeted her. "You scared?" he whispered excitedly. He was pretty handsome too. But being rather short, the sleeves of his tuxedo went to mid-finger length, and he had to get the pants hemmed. His neck-length hair was cut short for this occasion, making it it's original very short cut.

He held out his arm, and the doors open revealing a wave of fresh wintery air, and a soft sunset disappearing by the horizon of the beach. Jake was there at the end, looking horribly nervous. But once he saw Selia, he relaxed immediately, he just couldn't stop staring.

Holly was seated, and grinning along with the rest of the crowd. And, she stifled her giggles when she saw how a-freaking-dorable Eric looked helping Selia down the aisle. Holly's hair had been done up for the occasion--it was in a nice bun, curled, with a couple loose pieces framing her face. It was all shiny, too, and she had donned a cobalt blue dress for the occasion. Yes, she was a bit jealous that her friend was already getting married, but she set those feelings aside and felt only excitement and happiness for Selia and Jake.

Selia, on the other hand, looked slightly more nervous when the doors had opened. Everyone was staring at her! How was she supposed to relax, and concentrate on getting married, when everyone was staring! But, she started walking nonetheless, hearing the (thank God it's not hard rock) bridal march play from somewhere. She saw Holly, and waved a little bit, then concentrated on Jake, starting to smile. She walked a little faster, smiling, not really caring if the music was still going once she got there. Finally, after what seemed like the longest walk ever, she made it down to Jake, said goodbye to Eric, and stood in her proper place, smiling and staring straight at her fiance-soon-to-be-husband intently.


Serenity, from the bridesmaids spot, was edging forward, trying to see the ceremony. They made such an adorable couple, really. And the dress was pretty, although she would have chosen a different one. Her little sister was getting married! And, before her, too! It was just too happy- Serenity stepped back, trying not to cry.

Eric stood next to Jake, one step down, and was just grinning and stuff. He was so happy for his friend!

The Priest recited the vows, which Jake and Selia agreed to until the main moment.

"Do you, Jake Yashnid, take Selia Rosensteel to be your wife?"

Jake paused, only to look deeply into Selia's eyes, and he took her hands. "I do," he said loudly enough for the whole crowd before them to hear.

"And do you, Selia Rosensteel, take Jake Yashnid to be your husband?"

"I do," Selia said, smiling. About halfway through the ceremony, a couple of tears had escaped, but it had quickly been under control. She was married, really married, now, and all that was left was the kiss, then the reception, then the honeymoon, then she was Selia Yashnid. That was going to be her name, wasn't it? She hadn't thought of that before. It was a great thought and her smile got a half-inch wider.

And so, they kissed. Jake held her close to him, making sure to make this moment as long as possible.

Serenity gave a little wave to the music guy, and he started playing the song for the exit. She was taking quite a few pictures from the side, and had people stationed all around to get every single picture possible- preferably magical ones, but average muggle pictures would do too.

Selia, after a while, pulled away from Jake. "I think that music means we leave." She whispered, grinning. "I like your suit, by the way. Hey, did you know we're married now?" She grabbed Jake's hand, in order to start walking back into the house to have the reception.

He wasn't able to speak, though, but still held her hand. The two walked off together.


THEN IT WAS PARTAAAY

Selia was getting awfully tired. "Hey, are you ready to get going? Our flight leaves at midnight, but we could leave early, if you'd like."

"No! It's partaaay!" Jake said and pulled off the top of his tuxedo and tried to get as comfortable as possible, so he just went to the drink table and poured himself some of the alchohol. "Woooo!"

Eric went up to Holly. "Isn't that amazing?! They're married.."

Holly grinned at him. "Yeah! I can't believe it... you know, when they first started dating, I never really thought they'd get together, you know?"

Eric nodded. "It was really unexpected. But... yeah. Look at them now!" he said laughing. A slow song came on. "Hey, you want to dance?"

"Sure!" Holly, albeit a little nervously, wrapped her arms around his neck, and he her waist, and they danced together. It was then that Holly realized they were the exact same height. "Hey, you grew!"

Eric grinned. "Yes, I did!" In fact he was a bit taller than Holly. "I'm really happy that finally I'm growing."

"I'm afraid it might be the end of your growth spurt, though! How old are you, twenty-one?"

Eric sighed. His shoulders slumped a bit, but having gained some muscles, Holly would have felt them move with her hands around his neck/rested on his shoulders. "Yeah... L-let's change subject." He grew rather red with embarrassment. "Umm, so you know my asshole of a boss? He was being so mean to me lately. I mean, I don't even know what I did, and he's just yelling at me when I brought him the wrong coffee! And that's another thing! I shouldn't be the one bringing him coffee. We have that special guy for that. Dwayne. Of course, Blaine makes me do it. And then Dwayne's just standing in the corner snickering with that annoying voice of his. He hates me because he said he was supposed to get the job of the assistant but I got it instead."

Ignoring pretty much everything else Eric said, Holly honed in on the word "Blaine." "Blaine? As in, Blaine Bradford?" Holly cocked her head to the side curiously. "Is Blaine Bradford your boss?"

"Y-yeah... do you know him?" Eric said, frowning. He forgot that he never told her his boss's name.

"Oh, yeah," Holly pretended to straighten his suit collar, but really just had to fidget. She shifted the weight on her heels and continued dancing. "Yeah, I know him. But let's not talk about work, we're at a wedding!"

Eric was curious. And so, he insisted. "No, tell me."

"I'll tell you later, okay? Just, not here." Holly smiled at him. "Really. How've you been?"
