Somewhere in Blackpool

"Yes!" Serenity said, crossing her arms. "Stop smiling, will you?!"

The smile melted away as he let this sink in. Angel had always been a bit... on the edge. But Elroy never would have thought he'd go that far. Elroy exhaled and ran his fingers through his hair. He couldn't think of anything to say.

Serenity smiled in spite of what she had just said. "I can tell you mostly everything about the case. And, your mom, she's looking for you. I think we should talk about it. And, um.. I sort of want to visit Angel. But I'm scared to, and I'm not going to take Olivia. So do you want to go?"

"Oh, hell yeah! I can't wait to see this! Just, let me get my lunch." He ran down the stairs.

"Oh, okay. I'll be here.." Serenity said, sighing and preparing herself mentally for apparation.

After what may have felt like days but in reality was only about two minutes, Elroy returned up the stairs clutching a brown paper bag which was bulging with some plastic-wrapped sandwich made of some unknown meat and processed cheese. "So, where is he exactly?"

Serenity was distracted by the bag. "Is that a sandwich? Oh, um, I dunno. There's an article.. I know it's not Askaban, though. There wasn't any magic involved. Can I have the sandwich?"

"No. We can split it, though... And how are we supposed to get there, then?"

"Well I brought the newspaper article," Serenity said, pulling it out and thrusting it towards him. "Newsprint gives me headaches."

Elroy snatched the article and began to skim through it. "A-ha." He pointed to a small name in italics. The name of the nuthouse he'd been taken to. He read the name of the place. "It's down near Forest Hills. Not too far, I guess..."

"Alright, what's the address? I don't want to end up in the ghetto again."

"I dunno, we'll be able to find it though... Whaddaya mean, 'again'?" He pushed open the front door and held it for the lovely lady.

"It's a long story, I'll tell you after I see Angel." Serenity said. Maybe it would be easier to tell her friends if she practiced first. After all, they always had considered her whore-ish.

"Oh, alright..."

So they get to the train station blah blah blah...

And yeah.

Serenity came out of the train station, smiling. Then something caught her eye-- a very expensive looking steakhouse called Ruth Chris. "ELROY!" She shouted. "Let's go have dinner. There, okay?"

Elroy considered the proposition for a moment. "Will you badger me if I say no?"

"Yup. I'll badger you to hell. You're buying, okay?"

He sighed. "You know you're wiping me out for the next week or so, right?"

"Yup! That's part of the fun, see. Hey, do you like champagne? Because I've never had it. It's all bubbly, right? It seems like a load of fun." So she walked over to the restaurant and managed to get them a table.

Elroy flipped over the menu and began reading the drink options. To be honest, he wasn't all that hungry.

"I'll have the clam chowder, a sesame chicken salad, a glass of wine, the crab leg and filet combo, with shoestring fries and au gratin potatoes." Serenity told the waiter, with a smile. Everything on that list individually was over 40 dollars. "What are you going to have?"

"Pick one, you lard. I'll just have a glass of water, thanks." Elroy passed his menu to the waiter, who looked rather puzzled.

"But, they're appetizers!" Serenity pouted. "Fine. I'll just have the steak, with the shoestring potatoes."

And so the waiter went to fill out their order, and an awkward silence fell over the table.
