Somewhere in Blackpool

Serenity apparated into a dark alley, and came out onto the street, looking around. "Church.. Church.. Shelter..."

The buzzing of a swarm of flies.

Serenity didn't manage to find the shelter, and just decided to apparate back to Illumination Island, resolving to come back another day.

Serenity apparated into an alley, making sure she had all her parts before marching in town. She went into a gas station.
"I'm looking for a homeless shelter. Tell me where it is."
The guy looked surprised at her rude demeanor, but gave her directions. Serenity marched out, and into the homeless shelter, the little bell on the door ringing. "Hellooo?"

It was a small room, with a stout woman placed at a desk beside a flight of stairs. She appeared to be absorbed in filling out some paperwork.

"Hello," Serenity said, walking up to the desk. "I know someone who might be here, his name is Elroy Illumination. Do you know him?" She smiled at the woman politely.

She looked up at Serenity, raising an eyebrow. "Well, sweetie," she cooed, "I don't think that's a name..."

"Astor! I'm sorry. Elroy Astor. Please, it's really important I find him, something's going on in his family."

"Oh, yes, he's... I believe he just left for work, actually." The woman smiled, showing her prominent dimples. "Relation?"

I'm close enough. "Yes. I'm his sister. I know I don't look it.. But, really, I have to see him. There's something-- his brother--"

"If you'd like me to take a message..."

"No. No, I'll just stay here, thanks." She went and sat down, looking grumpy.

"He should be back around noon... forgot his lunch again."

"Wonderful. Thank you." Serenity slowly fell asleep on the bench.

The woman resumed her paperwork. "There's no way they're siblings."

Serenity woke up around noon, yawning. "Is he here yet?"

The woman wasn't there.

Serenity looked around dazedly. "Hello? Is anyone here?"

And how convenient, at that very moment, someone who looked enough like Elroy entered. He'd gotten his hair chopped off, and in general he just looked like he'd actually bathed for once in his life and found some decent clothes. Typical office-worker attire, but still. He stopped dead in his tracks once he spied the girl on the bench, looking slightly taken aback.

Serenity jumped up, slightly shocked. "Elroy! You.. You look slightly better. Whatever. Do you know where Angel is right now?" She asked, getting straight to the point. She wasn't really in the mood for talking.

He started walking towards the stairs. "Why should I care?"

"Because he's in jail!" Serenity said, staring at him angrily. "He's in jail, for life. Incarcerated. Does that mean anything to you? Did you even know?"

Elroy stopped again. He looked over at Serenity, letting go of the railing for a moment, chuckling slightly. "... What?"

"He murdered someone. Charlie, actually." Serenity had read the papers from the event, just needing to know what had happened. "Broke his neck with his bare hands. I guess he went crazy, but I'm not going to go visit him. Not when he's in jail. I suppose I'll go to his funeral, if I'm still alive by then. After all, life in prison might be longer than a person's outside.."

Elroy stared at Serenity, half-smiling in complete disbelief. "Angel did?"
