Screw this.

Eric frowned at her. "Who's Fry." he said, dumbly, and lifted a fry from the table. "French fry?" he asked, and gave it to her.

"Chips," Selia corrected. "Why are you calling them fries?" She asked.

Eric ignored her. "Listen, kid. Take the fry, and stop eavesdropping."

The girl began to tear up. "I... I was really worried about them! That's all!" She snatched the chip and shoved it in her mouth, frowning. "It's cold."

"Geez, Eric, way to be mean.." Selia mumbled. "She looks sad."

Eric felt a pang. "I'm sorry!" he cried, and shoved the bowl of fries to her. "Here, take them all, okay? And, I sure hope they escaped!"

Properly consoled by the bowl of cold chips, the girl resumed going about her own business.

"Wow, when did you get to be so insensitive?" Selia asked. She was teasing, but it wasn't clear from her tone of voice. "You used to be so nice.."

Eric shook his head. Why was Selia being so blunt? "I'm still nice..." he said looking a bit hurt, not understanding how she really was just teasing.

Selia giggled. "I'm just kidding you, don't look hurt. You're the nicest person I know."

Holly looked confused. "I thought I had told you?" she mouthed, picking at her food with her fork. "But yeah. It was really fun. Wasn't it, Eric? Don't listen to Selia, you're plenty nice!"

"I was only teasing," Selia mumbled, looking a little sad herself.

Holly tossed a fry at her. "I know you were! Don't be so down about it. We're all friends now, and, well, my cousin is safe. We should be happy! Celebrate!"

Jake stood up, and pointed at a wall. His eyes were wide, and his shoulders were shaking. "LEPRECHAUN!" he half yelled, half hissed.

Eric who was about to cheer with Holly, looked up at Jake, who's shadow had fallen over him with a confused look. "Leprechaun?"

Some other people turned their heads.


Selia shook her head. "It's past his bedtime," she explained. "He didn't sleep on the plane, so I think he's hallucinating. Come on, Jake, you need to go to sleep now. There's no leprechauns in the school." Selia said, and stood up, taking his hand and tugging on it, trying to get him to follow her to the common room.

Holly snickered. "Jake, are you alright? There are no leprechauns in Hogwarts."

And so he was dragged by her, while he was stumbling after her.

Eric looked at Holly, and shrugged. "That scared me, when he just jumped up like that.." he chuckled.

"Most things Jake do scares me!" Holly grinned. "Hey, Christmas break WAS pretty fun. Aren't you glad that you came to my house?"

Eric grinned. "Yeah! It was awesome! I've never had so much fun since.. since I met you guys! We'd have to do it over and over again- this summer. Invite both of us over- or we could go to my aunt's house again, it'd be awesome!"

Selia came back and sat down where she was before, playing with her mashed potatoes, making a gravy volcano.

Amanda was still waiting for Wallace -w-

And he was not there

So she kept waiting.

Unfortunately, he wasn't feeling very hungry that morning, and he had no desire to walk down all those stairs from Gryffindor tower.

So she waited in vain.
