"And the one who will be in trouble."

"Ugh, who cares anymore?" She crossed her legs. "School is just..."

"Just terrible?"

"What are you gonna do after this year?"

"I'm going to get a book I wrote published. I just have ten more chapters to go."

"Lame."

"Well aren't you a jerk this morning."

"There are millions of books out there already, and millions more coming. What gives you the arrogance to think that they'll read yours?"

Amanda stared at Olivia for a moment, without saying a word. She then just took a bit of a muffin, staring blankly into space.

"Exactly."

Amanda put the muffin down, and began to speak, slowly piecing together her words. "It's not arrogance, but just hope. The same hope that all those other books had. The same hope that carried some of them to the top."

A rather long, uncomfortable pause. "What kind of muffin is that?"

"Blueberry."

"It's Wednesday."

"Still is my free block."

"I still have History first."

"Ah, well."

"What now, then?"

"You need to get to class."

"I don't want to."

"Rebel."

"Nah..."
