The rain began tumbling down on them, big droplets after big droplets.
"We ought to go inside." Eric said as he looked up to the dark gray clouds.
"Aww, why? It's not like we're gonna get- Oh wait, yeah." Fry hit his forehead.
"Stupid. . ." Antonio mumbled as he stood up.
"C'mon, let's go." He sighed. Flicking his dark brown hair out of his eyes, he peered down at both of them. Eric pulled himself up.
"But you guys. It's only rain."
"It's only rain? Yeah, well I don't wanna catch a cold on the first weekend of school." Antonio snapped.
"Besides, it's unpleasant getting wet." Eric said.
"What, it's true. Then your clothing gets all sticky and stuff." he said when the two of them stared at him.
". . . Aww, forget it. Let's go inside." Fry sighed and pulled himself up.

Selia looked down at them from the boathouse, jumping up and dusting off her pants. She should probably go in, but it would appear stalkerish, wouldn't it? Ah, whatever, she had a tanktop demeaning barbie on! That always made things okay!
So, picking up her umbrella, Selia slid down the baniste
r of the stairs in the boathouse and ran up to Fry and Antonio and Eric, putting up the umbrella with the thump of air that always accompanies the opening of the device.


"Haha, lucky I was bored enough to go outside earlier, otherwise you'd be getting soaked!" She was speaking to all of them, grinning and twirling the umbrella.
"Have you been doing your homework?"

"Of course we have, Selia." Eric said with a smile.
Fry grumbled something.

"Well I haven't!"
She laughed, skipping ahead then remembering she was the one with the umbrella, then turned and went back over to them.

"That's good,"
And they all began to walk back to the school.

And Selia blabbered about nothing in general the entire way.

They said nothing.

And so they were inside by then.

Amanda and Olivia walked together towards the lake.

And they got there.

"Pretty day out." Amanda wore a pair of light yellow fingerless gloves that had colorful brown stripes of all different shades. She decided not to wear the gloves as mittens today, and so they covered her fingers halfway, and tighly gripped to her hand.

Liv sat on the grass just away from the shore. "I love autumn."

"Ditto." Amanda twirled the stem of a bright red leaf in her fingers.

"It's not cold, and it's not freaking boiling."

"Just perfect."

"I hate summer..."

"... I'd love it if it weren't for the weather."

"I'd hate it anyway."

"... I think I'm staying here for Christmas."
