NEW YORK BROADWAY.

He jumped a bit, and turned around. "Oh, hey Helen! I was just thinking. You know, to myself and all."

"Oooh! I always knew you were the philosopher type!" she sat down right beside him. "What were you thinking about?"

Antonio laughed. "No, not really! I don't know, can you keep a secret?"

"Of course I can!"

Antonio nodded. "I trust you. Well, I... I did really bad things in England. And I moved here for a new start, and I usually think back to then, and wish I could fix them..."

"Ohhh..." Helen dwelled on this for a minute, but decided it was best to try to cheer him up. "Well, you couldn't have done anything that terrible. What did you do, kill someone?" she teased.

He didn't answer. He just shook his head. "I didn't mean to..." he whispered. "I've begun to feel as though it wasn't me who killed him. But- but- I got him into the targeting-" he didn't finish. "I don't even know why or how come I did that."

"...Wait. You actually DID kill someone?" Helen said aghast. "I was just kidding!"

"Shhh! I- I didn't mean to..." Antonio said with a frown. "And i-it was my best friend..." his head dropped a bit and he stared at the ground sadly.

Helen looked mortified. "...How did you do it?"

"I- I can't explain..." he exhaled.

Time had passed, and though different shows and seasons separated Antonio and Helen, throughout all that they managed to stay friends with each other and hang out often.

One day, after a show of Thoroughly Modern Millie that Helen was performing in, she decided to take a visit over to the theater Antonio was working at.

She rapped on the door quickly, and happily opened it to see him.

Antonio was rich. And he was famous. He had been in several Broadway musicals, along with the occasional side roles in movies. He played a Cashier person in some movie, he played an angered Italian tourist in another movie, voiced a song for some other movie, etc etc. He was living a nice life in a high apartment, being quite famous in the muggle world. He's changed his name, too, to Aaron Robert Addison. He was known by that, and just that.

Along with being rich and with fame, he had the pleasure of many girlfriends. He would have different ones per month, each one prettier and more extravagant than the other one, and he'd be spending more on each one.

This extreme lifestyle couldn't keep going though. He felt the need to put a stop to it. So, there he was, returning to Broadway as a simple man, with the name Antonio DiGandi. He entered the auditions for believe it or not- a new Phantom of the Opera.

"'Tonioooo..." called out Helen, in a sing-song voice as she crept into the Dressing Room. "Where are you?!"

Antonio heard somebody calling him, so he stood up from the audience seats and peered into the dressing room backstage. He knew he shouldn't be there, but that voice was so familiar.

"Do you even perform here anymore?!" she joked loudly, but her face looked slightly concerned. Maybe he didn't.

He flicked on the light. "Helen?!" he cried out. A friendship rejoice is always the best. "I umm... no, but I want to change that."

"Oh, really? You don't work here anymore?... I didn't know that!"

"Yeah, I've been out in the actual movie-making career. Going to fix that, though," he said in his English accent. It felt good to talk normally once again.

"Oh..." Helen looked disappointed. "None of those movie actors have any real talent!"

"That's not true," he muttered. "Movie actors struggle to get far, you know. There are a few handfuls who are really good, but I'm not sure I fit in that category."

"I think you were perfect on stage. You don't need to be in any movie." And she leaned over, and pecked him on the cheek. "British people kiss each other like that, right?!"

"Mostly the French. And I'm Italian," he said with a nod and wink, and grinned. Then he hugged her tightly. "Ohhh, Helen, I've missed you."
