The Yule Ball

"Sure."

Her and Max began to dance.

"Shall we dance?" Nicolas asked Rachel, holding his hand out for her to take.

"I know you'll kill me if we go out in the hallway or do something terrible, and so no." She and her partner continued dancing.

"Nope. Just over here where everyone can see us. Just a quick word. Seriously. Get your butt over there." Serenity glared at her, folding her arms across her dress.

AND YEAH. DANCING ENSUES.

"Err, I should tell you, I don't know how to dance," and of course, a minute later, she stepped on his foot.

The pair came to a quick halt. "Sure. Right here is fine." Laura's partner then walked off to get drinks.

Nicols smiled at Rachel, and despite his feet getting stepped on, the two danced together. But inside, he knew that getting his feet stepped on by a girl in heels really hurt. Nicolas decided to bear it.

"Hey, Laura, I don't care if you have some flashy tall partner, or you kiss him, Okay? All that matters tonight, is me, Angel, and the dance floor, so don't bother me again. I really could care less about what you do better than me. So, bye." Serenity walked back to Angel, smiling sincerely for once tonight. "Sorry."

He smiled back. "It's alright, shall we continue then?" He held out his hand.

Laura stared at Serenity blankly and put her hand out in front of her. "I hate fighting with you. We both are fighting a never ending war, it's stupid and horrible. It seems we both found our loves and we should forget about hate and just truce... Almost I find I was stupid and was just acting out for I was trying to find a role in this drama filled school..So truce?"

Serenity took Angel's hand, ignoring Laura, since she's about three yards away now. "Yes, thank you." Serenity sighed, starting to dance again, and wishing she had something to eat, or they could go over to the buffet.. But Serenity was definitely going to get something on her dress if she did. And, the gardens looked really nice and cool, but Angel wanted to dance, so she shut up about it.

"Oops, I'm so sorry!" she said, quickly apologizing. Rachel had, obviously done it again.

Laura walked off smiling and continued her dance with her partner.

He pulled her a bit closer and kept on dancing.

Serenity blushed, holding her breath and suddenly hugging him, then jumped back and continued dancing. For once she was silent, then she broke it by blurting out--
"Erm-- Are you hungry? We can get food if you want,"
She said awkwardly, sighing. "But if you aren't, that's fine, I'm not hungry, it's up to you.."

Amanda slightly rested her head on Tanner's shoulder. "This is perfect..." She closed her eyes as the two danced thinking how wonderful it would be if she could dance like Princess Tutu.

"If you wish, Miss Rosensteel." He stopped dancing and released her.

Serenity laughed, hugging his arm and nearly sprinting off towards the garden like a rabbit for freedom.

"It's okay."

Nicolas sighed to himself. Rachel was so... clumsy. And she hurt.

Angel watched her leave, then turned curtly to go find something to do. Perhaps he would read. That always passed the time.

Serenity turned around, going after him and tapping him on the back, standing on her tiptoes. "I'm not letting you sneak off to go back to the library, you're coming too!" She said, tugging on his sleeve impatiently.

"Fine, fine."

Serenity squealed happily, walking slower this time so she didn't lose Angel to the crowds, of what she thought, were screaming fangirls ready to tackle him to the ground.

He took a small book out of a pocket in the lining of his dress robe and started to read. =w=

Serenity frowned. "You keep a book in your DRESS ROBES?" She grinned, going out into the garden.
