The Yule Ball

Amanda waited for Tanner's reply.

And so, Serenity started failing.

"I know you can dance, love," he said quietly, keeping the same speed.

Amanda, still blushing immsensly with her eyes closed smiled and put her hand out, slowly opening her eyes. " Tanner shall we dance?"

Libby nodded, and went off to dance with Max.

And Nicolas was dragged.

Serenity mumbled something at the same volume as he was talking, blushing immensely.
"I can dance to regular songs. Not this orchestral stuff."
Serenity mumbled something else in a lower tone. "But if you insist," She said much louder, spinning around quickly and stepping into a waltz, heels tapping against the ground loudly.

Tanner took her hand, which he found quite sweaty, and pulled her to the dance floor.
"Hey, just because I asked you to the dance, doesn't mean you can ask me to dance. C'mon, I'll lead, since you... or so I've heard, fail at dancing." He flashed a bright smile, and the two of them started to sway with the song. Despite the actual dance you were supposed to do.


Kelsi sighed heavily, looking at all her friends dancing. Where was Olivia? The two of them could camp as loners. She was also grinning, at the fact, that now the moment she had been waiting for has finally come. But nobody really took notice of her dance. Serenity, as usual, looked dazzling. Beautiful. amazing. Rachel looked so glorious in her bright yellow dress, she couldn't help but stair. Then there was Amanda who looked so light and cheerful in her dress. Lib looked well... like Lib. Shocking, and stood out. Liv... where was Liv?


In the shadows of the entrance stood a short girl that had a well-developed body. She supported a long, black dress with a cut seam down the side of it. Within the seam held steadily a long, smooth leg that had a deep skin color. Her hair was down to her waist and hid part her face in a delicate, dark blue colour. Robin had on heavy eyeliner and deep red lips. Her eyes were partially closed so her long eyelashes shaded her deep gray-green eyes. She was shmexxi.

"There you go," he mouthed.

"Oh, oh you went there?" Amanda grinned at him slyly. "Now when I say fail I mean never tried." And for never trying she was really good.

Ally entered armed by Alexander. Her blond hair was elaborately curled and held up by a silver rhinestone clip. She looked beautiful in her silver dress that hung loosely on her. She didn't go with the idea of dress robes, and instead wore ametalic muggle prom dress.

He put his hands at her waist and pulled her up in the air like the dance thing, and set her down. When Amanda had landed on the ground, Tanner held her closer than before.


Kelsi was now sitting at a seat, beating her white-heeled foot to the beat. She had a fork in her hand and was swinging it onto the table along with her foot.

"Tanner.. you're a pretty decent dancer, ya know that?" Amanda's eyes laughed now, she was trying to train herself not laugh at the most random times... Under her breathe she sang Let's Dance to the Joy Division. "Grab your purse and take a taxiii to the darkest side a down that's where'll I'll beeee... Dance to the Djjjj and say you want the Joy Division.."

(OH ... I g2g in a half hour and ... This will be carried on for a while won't it -.-)

[Yeah, we're gonna continue until everyone's gone probably. Sorry. ._.]

And the music plays on.

Serenity frowned. "Oh, come on, this is boring, can't they step it up a little?" She spun around, frowning at the orchestra angrily. [Premonition.] Serenity spun again the other way, starting to do the two step. "You know, Olivia isn't here. I wish she was, it's sort of sad, she misses out on this. You know, the Yule Ball is like Prom. Have you ever heard of a Sadie Hawkins dance? Or does that not come out in your fiction readings?" Don't tease your date, it's mean. "Sorry, I meant to say-- Nevermind."

"I did notice. Perhaps she was embarrassed out of it." He chuckled. "Also, yes, I have heard of a Sadie Hawkins."

Laura lurked in the backround wearing a long green and silver dress. It has short sleeves on the shouldes that were cut off except where it hit the dress on the sides. There was a silver cut in the middle which bordered the green. Then the silver cut revealing her legs and her high, high heels which wrapped up against her leg.

Serenity smiled.
"Now, there's a little matter I think we need to clear up." She frowned suddenly, turning her head. "What is your plan?!" Serenity froze, then continued dancing smoothly. "Laura's here, please don't look."

Laura stood smirking at Serenity as a tall Slytherien then risked her off onto the dance floor. Laura spun rather quickly almost showing off intentionally of her skills.

"I can't tell you."

"Well, at least do this for me. We're going to outdance Laura. Okay?" Serenity quickly stepped into a salsa, spinning around and dancing furiously, kicking one leg as high as she could in the air without flipping her dress up, and spinning around some more.

Max looked at Libby and grinned. "Hey, do you wanna dance now?" he asked.

He continued the waltz. "No need to turn it into a competition."

The slytherien she was dancing with quickly dropped Laura near the ground in his arms. He came close as he lifted her up, it looked like they had kissed. He spun her out and back in raising her in the air, they continued a fast paced dance.

Serenity held up a finger. "Excuse me for a moment while I go talk to her as a nice friend," she said with gritted teeth, stepping off the dance floor angrily, marching over to Laura and frowning. "Hey, Laura, can I have a word please?" She asked sweetly.
