"THAT BITCH! Where does she live?! I'm gonna kill her!"

"Don't bother, she's in deep enough as it is. That damned anti-apparation charm..."

"Oh. So what's wrong with her? Tell me the whole story. Think of me as your diary."

She looked up. "Squeal and you're out of here. But, before this school year started, she somehow wound up in Amsterdam. Was forced to become a whore. And I was going to go visit every so often, but... it's terrible."

Krad tried to hold back a grin. "That's horrible.. I can understand your position. You're doing everything right."

She closed the book. "No, I'm not. I should be like, 'screw the rules I'm out of here'! I shouldn't be worrying about my mom blowing up in my face. She's never cared before, why should I?!" Her voice had been getting louder and more empowered during this little can-barely-be-called a rant. She dropped the book on the floor and got up, and resuming her indoor voice, repeated: "Why should I?"

"Um, I dunno. BUT I'M OFF TO GO TELL EVERYONE!" Krad floated away.

Olivia was too enraged to care. She just stood there, staring ahead, mouth slightly open, considering her options. One, continue standing there looking like a codfish. Two, get the fuck out of there. "Three, go eat; you haven't eaten yet today." Her stomach growled. "That's not doing something! You can eat once you get to Charlie's!" So of course, she chose option two. Sure, her parents would be pissed, Angel would be all 'disappointed', but that didn't matter anymore.

First, there was some business to take care of. Back to the dorm, closing the door behind her. "Bess? You here?"

Krad floated along the hallways, singing loudly.
"OH, THERE WAS ONCE A GIRL NAMED SERENITY ROSENSTEEL.
SHE WAS ANGEL ASTOR'S GIRLFRIEND
TILL SHE FOUND HERSELF IN AMSTERDAM
BEING A PROSTITUTE
AND SERVICING TONS OF MEN!
OHHHH!" He repeated the song over and over again.

No response. Good, good... Olivia grabbed a composition notebook off of the desk, turned to a blank page and tore it out, and scrawled a quick note on it.

'I'm getting out of here. Tell Angel I'm sorry, will write soon. To you, as well. Bye. -Liv'

She read it over a few times, folded it in fourths, and set it on Bessie's bed. Then, she packed a few clothes and essentials in her only purse (after using the space-expanding charm on it a few times, of course), and after taking one last look around the dorm, quietly slipped out the door.

Krad floated into the library, still singing his song about Serenity being a prostitute. Loudly.

And what a melancholy tune it was, drifting through the atmosphere like that and straight into Angel Astor's left ear. He suddenly felt a wave of paralysis roll over him. That damn ghost, what did he just say? It sure sounded a lot like 'being a prostitute and servicing tons of men. Ohhh.'

And Krad sang it again.

Until he drifted off, the singing becoming a faint echoing through the library.

Oh, so it was.

Angel, unagitated as usual, gently closed the book he was previously immersed in, stood, and exited the library, all retaining his strange, Mona Lisa-esque "smile".

And Krad just kept singing.

The door to Olivia's former dorm swung open, crashing into the wall. "Olivia?" called Angel.

Alas, her side of the dorm was abandoned. She must have known all along. Why wouldn't she have told him? The love of his life was in such grave danger, and not a single word of it. Why? Why?

Crack.

"Cowardly bitch," he said to the empty room, gently reaching in and pulling the door shut again.

Serenity hopped off a bus, staring at Pendragon University, tightening her scarf. It was cold here.. Well, if this was where she could find Angel, all the stuffiness of the place could be ignored. She went inside and asked a random janitor one simple question. "Hey, do you know where the library is?" He pointed her in the right direction, and she walked into the library. "Angel?" She called- and got a prompt shushing from a librarian. "Angel?" She tried again, this time whispering.

[i was joking.]

Alas, he wasn't there.

[Way to sound serious. o.o]

[TAKE THE BUS. YEAH. SO SRS.

THERE AIN'T NO BUSES.

wait. yes there are.

WELL]

[COME ON, IF ANYONE ELSE HAD SAID take the bus WITH NOTHING ELSE ON IT, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? I TOOK YOU SERIOUSLY. ]

Serenity wandered around, then she decided to ask the kind librarian. "Do you know anyone named Angel Astor? Probably spends a lot of time in here. Black hair, glasses..."

Elroy and Serenity had decided to take the bus. It wasn't far enough to deserve a train ride. Also, since there *is* a bus going back and forth apparently, why not take advantage of it? And so, said bus pulled up in front of the university gates, and the doors slid open accompanied by that little puffing noise that buses make whenever they stop.

Serenity looked excited. "You know, I like universities." She said as she was getting off the bus. Instead of a hospital gown, she was wearing a grey miniskirt and a pink flowered blouse- which had to be put on by the hospital matrons. Another thing had to be done by hospital nurse people- styling her hair, which had proven to be quite a problem. The nurses couldn't possibly do it the way Serenity wanted, and it was practically impossible to put a ponytail in with one hand. So, she just had her hair down. "Let's go and act like we need pity, okay?"
