The owl perched on a rung of a ladder and waited for its owner to return.

The letter sat there.... pouting. Not really.

Two hours later, Charlie walked back for his lunch break. He untied the letter from the owl's foot, shooed it off the ladder, and climbed up through his window. For whatever reason. Dramatic effect maybe. So, he read the letter. "..."

The letter internally cheered.

"Hij moet weggegaan hebben..." he mumbled, crumpling up the letter. He tossed it out the window.

Charlie was sleeping in, since it was his day off.

Serenity's owl soared in through the window and landed on Charlie's head.

The neatly coiled up letter in silver ink, in her very best handwriting, wrote.........


Dear Charlie,

How are things in Amsterdam? I hope they're better than they are here. I dropped Herbology, but I heard from a person in it first period in the morning that they're dealing with dragon's piss and man-eating plants. I'm quite glad to fail it. Did you keep your hair the same? It looks cute the way it is. Do you think they have pizza at Hogwarts? I've never thought of it! I'm blabbing- how are you, really? The boys here seem to be getting worse and worse, truthfully. The only cute ones are older than us! But next year, there won't be any boys in a year above us, so will they all be uglier? I'm quite worried for the welfare of this school- I could always be a cougar and go out with a younger boy! It's a horrible, horrible day here at Hogwarts- Snape's teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts. I regret getting an O. How did you do in school? What do you do know? Do you speak Dutch? Do you read English? I suppose so, if you've read this far. I should end the letter now, shouldn't I?

He swatted it off and rolled over.

The owl screeched loudly.

Charlie hit his alarm clock.

The owl screeched again and started biting at Charlie's hair.

He yelped and swatted the owl away. "... Oh." He picked up the letter.

The large silver heart she had put in the remaining space on the parchment shined- it was in silver ink, along with the rest of it, after all.

There was a little smiley face inside it. It was very kiddish.

"... Rosensteel, geen twijfel ..." Charlie opened the letter and skimmed over it. He smiled. "Zo'n liefje!" But, he decided to not write back until later, because he was still tired. So, he dropped the letter on the floor and fell back onto his pillow.

The owl pecked Chuck again. It obviously was ordered to wait for a reply.

"Neuk van, buizerd!" He shooed it away.

The bird crapped on his head.

"I'll shoot you!" He got up.

"Come back in an hour. I'm slow-minded."
