Kelsi bit her lip. "Why don't I have a wound?"

"Drew healed it with some neat-o spell. He actually paid attention in Charms class seventh year."

"Wow... That's so cool!"

"Yeah! Make sure to thank him earlier." Libby put a bit more emphasis on thank, as if to imply something other than a mere "Thank you for sealing up my wounds so I don't bleed to death". No, she didn't see anything wrong with teasing Kelsi about her brother and vice-versa. No, it wasn't awkward. It was cute, and funny.

Kelsi grew bright red. "Th-that's ridiculous!"

Libby rolled her eyes, and grinned. "Oh, sure it is."

Amanda was at the door, clenching the end of her wand tightly, she had it in her pocket always now, with the way the Wizarding World was. She softly knocked, thinking Libby may hav an idea about what happened last night.

But Libby and none of the Browns/Cruises/Katherine heard, considering it was a soft knock.

Amanda stared at the door, wondering why she had knocked so softly. Am I afraid of my findings? Yes. What if Kels died- -- Death Eaters and - - -Nothing to fear but fear itself... Amanda knocked loudly this time, considering she did it half dazed from her thoughts.

"I GOT IT!" Libby yelled, running down the stairs as fast as she could and arriving at the door before Drew could even lift his head up from a crossword he was working on in the living room.

"... Manda? What are you doing here?"

"Everything that's going on... I was wondering if you heard from Kels? I really worrid 'bout her with everything going on, and I can contact her because I don't have an owl."

"... Um... you could say that, yeah."

"Oh great! What did she say?"

Libby bit her lip. "Um, here. Come on in." Libby held the door open for Manda. "My room?"

Kelsi slowly leaned forwards in the bed, and waited for them to come upstairs. She heard from downstairs that it was Amanda.

Amanda nodded, stepping inside. "Thanks, sure." Her now faded yellow t-shirt from a year ago had lost its bright popping color, its personality, and design. She still wore it with pride.

Kelsi got out of Libby's bed, which smelled like Libby, and slowly walked out into the hall. She made her way to the staircase, and grinned at Amanda. Yeah, sure, her side was hurting like a b*tch, but it's Amanda! she raised her had and waved at her.

Amanda smiled widely when she saw Kelsi, but then her appearence sunk in. "Kels- what happened?"

"Kelsi!" Libby glared at Kelsi. "You shouldn't be standing up." Libby closed the front door, and walked over to her friend. "Manda, come upstairs, so we can explain." Libby helped Kelsi up the stairs, and back into her bedroom, onto her bed, which apparently smelled like her. Wonder why.

Kelsi went back into the bed which smelled like Libby because it's Libby's bed. Duh. "Yeah, I'll just stay in the bed. Shit happened, Amanda."

"Like, Death Eater shit?"

"Like werewolf shit and fire shit, too," Libby added, scowling.

Amanda spoke very softly, "Explain, please."

Libby repeated everything she'd told Kelsi--the burning house, Death Eaters, Nick, everything. "And that's why she's here," Libby finished.

Amanda grabbed onto the nearest object for support, slowly breathing. "I'm so sorry---"
