Train Compartment Number Two

Jake smiles. "Good! You're choosing the none-revenge path! Wise choice, one day you should end up like a powerful jedi like myself! a fine, wise man like myself! Er, woman."

Selia giggled and started munching on a brownie again. "You're pretty funny when you're trying to be nice."

"I'm not nice?"

"No, you're very nice, but when you're trying to be all advice-y and not revenge-y you're just funny."

"I'm not revenge-y. I just tried to do what I thought you'd want to do."

"It was a really sweet offer, too, but I just don't think I'm up for it. I mean, after all, we have a new headmaster. I don't want to get on his bad side."

Jake stretched back. "I hope I'm still aloud to do some banister sliding!"

And Selia leaned against him. "That'd be nice. Hey, have we stopped moving.... Nah."

"Yeah. Hmmm, I wonder what's holding up!"

"You smell nice." Selia mumbled.

"Really?! I bet it's the brownies..."

"Mmm-hmm!" Selia said, closing her eyes and smiling.

Jake stood up, making Selia fall over. He stretched. "Train's stopped!"

Selia stared at him, dumbfounded for a second, then got up and grabbed her trunk. "Well, let's go then."

"Oh, sorry!" he helped her up. "C'mon, let's just stay until they call us! I love the train compartments. The seats are so cozy."

"Yeah, they are." Selia said, sitting back down and bouncing on the seat.

Eric was in here with Holly and (?)Libby. He felt kind of awkward, since he was going home with his best friend's girlfriend..

Holly was reading a book. Libby was staring intently at Eric.

"So. You're Eric, huh?"

"Y-yeah. Er, I've seen you around the school." He said shyly.

"As have I. Back a few years ago..." A wide, sinister, slightly-out-of-character grin spread across her face. She wanted to scare him, and then be able to hug and comfort him... he was adorable. "You were the cutest in your year, no doubt."

Despite being flattered, Eric suddenly felt even more awkward. He felt his cheeks tingling. "Why are you smiling like that?" he questioned nerviously.

"Because I just wanted to pinch your cheeks!" she exclaimed. "And you're getting embarrassed and you're just so cuuuuute!"

Holly looked up from her book. "Libby, stop spazzing! He's a friend, not a kitten."

Eric didn't know what to say, so he just stared out of the window. Was he REALLY still considered cute, despite being 16? Nearly 17?

"Gosh, Libby, you're so annoying!" Holly snapped, and lowered her voice so Eric couldn't hear them. "Can't you tell he's the kind that gets upset easily?"

"But..." Libby sighed, rolling her eyes at Holly. "Fine. Eric, I'm sorry."

He looked at her and frowned. "Why?"
