Lin sat in a dark, quiet ally. Leaning against the cracking wall, she closed her eyes and listened to the sirens and horns that came from the street nearest to the ally. She pulled her black cloak's hood on, waiting for her ticket to safety.

"Hello? Mug-blood?" Came from a cracking, soft voice from the corner.

Lin sighed, "If you are going to say it, say it correctly."

"But where's the fun in that? I'm not insulting, simply looking for you."

"So where is it? The safe haven?"

"... Huh? Oh. You have your broom, right?"

"No. It got snapped in half on the way over."

"God. I'm not even going to ask. Either way, common."

Lin sat in the alley, her eyes shut as if she was sleeping. But, who in the right mind would sleep in an ally? She was simply trying to get a hold on reality. Who she had become, what she was looking for. But, her thoughts were broken up by a familarvoice.

"So, did you make it in the world?" As he spoke, Lin could feel his cocky smile.

    "What do you mean?"

    "Did the plan go accordingly?"

    "Ah. Yeah."

"... Man, what are you learning? 'Ah. Yeah'? What kinda English is that?"

    "Shut it. I'm resting."

"Nothing for the person who got you here?"

    "Oh. I almost forgot."

"Or were you trying to forget?" The familiar voice chimed in.

Lin tossed an old, beat up sack that looked older than herself toward the silohette [spelling] of the owner of the voice. "There, your payment."
