Fifth Year Boys Dorm

Karin was following Fry up there, watching him carefully.

Fry knew she was there. "Look, what do you want to say?" His eyes widened. "KARIN! You're not doing what you did to Antonio! Jeez, just stick with him, I mean, you've already wrecked him and Selia, don't go for me and Holly!" Not that I'd ever let that happen. he thought to him self.

"It's not even about that!" she growled at him angrily. "I was trying to put that behind. But, SOMEONE just had to go and remind me of it again." She shook her head and sighed. "I just wanted to talk, that's all. You know, as friends? Old times sake? The like?"

Fry shrugged. "Sorry. You just kind of freaked me out. Okay. Well... are you even ALOUD in our dorm?"

"Yeah, girls are allowed in boy's dorms. Not the other way around though."

"Oh, that's stupid."

"They don't trust boys or whatever. Anyway," she sat down on a chair. "What was it like growing up with Muggles?" she asked, clapping her hands together, trying to sound cheerful.

"It was normal. I mean, if I ever go back to living like a muggle- I'd be pretty depressed. But, it has it's ups, you know? Even though they don't even know that magic exists, they invent their own things, and go on from there. Even though it's a bit harder and takes less time."

"Oh, I think I understand... do you ever feel sorta... I dunno what's the right word for it-different because you're Muggle-born?"

"Wait- what? Why does it matter?" He put his hand to his head. "No. Not really. Or, well, you know, when you figure something out that everyone else doesn't know, it's a bit embarrassing, right?"

"Mmm, I guess..." And she was quiet. Just thinking about stuff.

"Does it matter?"

"No no, of course not. Just something for Muggle-Studies."
