Lavender and Olivia arrived several minutes later. =3

"Wonder where Saso is." Liv started looking.

Lavender looked around for her owl, a letter in her hands.

"Annoyance." She reached between two owls and pulled out the ball of red fluff she called Sasori.

Lavender found a brown miniature owl from somewhere and tied a letter to her leg. She let the owl fly off, and said, "I told my parents that Cara fell in the lake and got eated by the giant squid. :3"

"I dread combined classes with Gryffindor. It's not even 'cuz of Slytherin prejudice either. Y'know? I don't mind the general Gryf crowd," she rambled, tying a small note to Sasori's leg. "Soeri, again." Sasori squeaked. "I know, he's an annoyance. GO FORTH." She tossed him out the window.

"You weren't the one who started the school year WITH Cara and Harry and Ron AND Defense Against the Dark Arts. Two things I dread. Well, technically four, but whatever. You didn't start your year with The Group and Lockhart. Horribleness." Lavender said with the -_- face.

"Don't tell me she studied all summer again..."

"She got a 100 on Lockhart's quiz."

"AND HOW COULD SHE HAVE STUDIED FOR THAT!? I bet she curses the teachers..."

"She worships Lockhart. All summer she's been so excited to get into his class. I looked at her answers and I realized his favorite color was lavender. -_-"

"Wait, how did she know we were having Lockhart for D-A-D-A..."

"Because she's the teachers. How else do you explain she was the only one called on last year?"

She gasped. "Imperius curse??" she whispered.

Rachel walked in. "What are you guys talking about? ^^" she asked cheerfully.

"Cara."

"Erugh..." said Rachel looking annoyed. "I hate her. She thinks she's all that. She really isn't, it's so annoying."

"I was the one who spent the first class of the year with her and her 'posse.'" Lavender reminded Rachel.

"We think she cursed the teachers. Except Snape, he seems normal."

Rachel leaned back against the wall, relaxing her body. "I wouldn't hang out with her even if you paid me. Anyway, I bet if Harry and Ron or whoever she hangs out with are only her "friends" out the goodness of their hearts." she said stoutly.

"She's my cousin, I frickin' live with her. She's okay outside of school, where she isn't in a seat of power."

"And she's a mudblood. Ew." She was watching Sasori fall very slowly down the side of the building.

"Hey, my dad and Kelsi are 'Mudbloods.'"

"Muggle-borns aren't that bad you know... they can just be kinda unaware of things at time, that's all." said Rachel shrugging.
