A Busy Hallway. 8D

With lots of people in it and talking, looks like Rachel had found the perfect place to play. So, in a little spot in the middle of the hallway, Rachel laid down a blanket, took out her guitar, and sat cross-legged on the blanket, leaning against the wall. She then began to play Disturbia.

The random seventh grader came out of nowhere, and mysteriously gave her an old beggar's cap, settled it on her blanket, and dropped a coin into it.

Rachel looked down at the begger's cap and shrugged. She tossed it away, and dropped the coin into her open guitar case. If anyone wanted to give money, that's where it would be.

Serenity walked by, giving up on her singing business. She stopped in front of Rachel, getting a wonderful idea. So, she went up to her and whispered in her ear quickly.

"Singing Guitar Collaboration?"

She stood up, looking hopeful.

Rachel stopped playing her guitar for a moment, and looked thoughtful. If she let Serenity play, she might generate more attention, on the other hand, she kinda wanted to do this on her own. So in the end, she chose: "Uh, maybe some other time? Like tomorrow or something? I kinda wanted to do this on my own tonight."

Serenity nodded and went off to practice singing somewhere else. She understood, Rachel probably thought her singing was bad too. So she would come back tomorrow, maybe, or the next day. I mean, there was all the time in the world. Now there was just that little problem of the really really high notes. So, she ran off singing loudly, trying to clear her brain out.

Rachel, who was now playing Umbrella by Rihanna, looked around the hallway, frowning. Hey, she was providing music for people to enjoy, but why wasn't anyone listening?

"Maybe it's because they think that is boring or something..." she thought to herself. Then, a minute later, being the Ravenclaw she is, she got up, brushed off her clothing. And, out of no where, the Toroden dance song started blasting, and she did the dance that goes with it. XD

Now people were staring.

The Seventh year joined in then disappeared into the crowd, yelling out,
"WHAT RAVENCLAW WAS DO THAT?!" and he was gone before nothing else could happen...

Rachel was annoyed now. She was getting attention, but it wasn't the kind she wanted. It was more of "Wth is that girl on?" kind of stares. "Awww come on people!" she exclaimed exasperated. "I'm putting all this effort in for nothing!?"

Serenity stared at her. Then she jumped up next to her and started dancing too. "Guys, don't make her dance by herself."

"Come on people! Pay us up! We're not doing this just too like idiots!" she snapped, as continued dancing. But, she had to admit this though: it was rather fun to look like an idiot at times. And she was having fun right now.

Serenity stopped dancing, shoved Rachel's guitar in Rach's compatible hands, and started singing. "So come on, get higher, loosen my lips Faith and desire at the swing of your hips Just pull me down hard And drown me in love So come on, get higher, loosen my lips Faith and desire at the swing of your hips Just pull me down hard
And drown me in love!"

"I don't know how to play that!" wailed Rachel who was trying to get a proper hold of her guitar in a rush. She than quickly started plucking random strings and playing random chords.

"Do you know teardrops on my guitar?"
Serenity was stalling, waving to the crowd anxiously. "WE'LL BE JUST A SECOND! Any Taylor Swift, erm, come on get higher, holding out for a hero, any britney spears, I can sing anything."

"Uh hmm... Teardrops On My Guitar..." Rachel thought for a minute. She hadn't really learned any Taylor Swift songs yet. She was focusing more on... well, nothing really. "I can play Love Story, do you know the lyrics to that song?" Rachel asked hopefully.

The hallway was clearing up a bit, as everyone bustled off to their common rooms. Soon enough all there was to keep the two girls company were the partially-melted candles placed on the walls, flickering through the long hallway giving an illuminous glow.

"Damn it," grumbled Rachel. She gazed down into her guitar case. There were only a few knuts, sickles, and one kind, generous person gave them a galleon. She knelt down and collected her earnings, and she turned toward Serenity. "We'll sort out who gets what in the dorm later." So, with that, Rachel packed up her guitar and walked back to the the Ravenclaw dorm.

Rachel was back in her corner. Even though Serenity wasn't here, she figured that she would do a little starter performance to grab people's attention, and make them wanna come see them again after dinner. So, she carefully took out her guitar, and kept the case of it opened, in case anyone wanted to pay up.

With that, she began to play Disturbia.

[[After that, we'll skip to a whole day of classes, then go to the end of the year?]]

[SQUEE -- ALMOST TIME FOR MY FAVORITE YEAR!!]

(Yeah, how about a few days before the end of the year? But I guess it's up to Liv.)

Rachel sighed, and looked crestfallen. Why wasn't anyone watching!? She really was trying her best, and she thought she was putting on a rather damn good show. And yet, no one was showing up to watch!

[... fine ...]

[[I KNOOOWWWW But, we should see if the others approve first. I think we've been on this year for quite a while. And yet, we need to do a few more classes, then we can go to the next year. Maybe.]]

A small group of first year girls stopped in the crowded hallway and sat in front of Rachel, listening to her show. They were clapping along, bumping each other in the shoulders, laughing, and enjoying it.

Serenity passed by and stopped, grinning at Rachel, and dumped her bag full of sickles into the guitar case.


She was bored. So she stood behind the girls and clapped loudly after each song.
