The Hospital Wing

Lavender led Serenity into the Hospital wing, and Serenity was already getting covered in red blotches. Madame Pomfrey saw it, and went back to go get something.

Serenity growled. "GET THESE OFF ME TODAY, LADY, AND NOW!"

[Sorry. I just thought it wouldn't really be power-playing if you were just getting blotches.]

"Relax," Madame Pomfrey said, came back with some cream. She began rubbing it all over Serenity. Face, arms, legs, and anything that was exposed to the plant. "The rash should be gone by tomorrow. Try to be a little more careful in Herbology."

"TOMORROW? I CAN'T GO AROUND LOOKING LIKE THIS! I'LL COVER IT UP WITH AN AIRBRUSHING!"

"You can't, or it might get worse," Madame Pomfrey said. "And it's your fault, I must add, for falling asleep on a plant that gives you big rashes."

"I didn't know, I WASN'T PAYING ATTENTION! And, it's all natural, with no chemicals or anything... Please?"

"This shows that you should be paying attention in class and getting enough sleep at night. And you can not cover this up, just wear your hood over your head and pay attention in class."

Serenity mumbled something about makeup.

"No make-up to cover it, either. The only acceptance is eyeshadow and things for your lips, and maybe the mascara. Just nothing to cover."

"Terribly, sorry, though." Madame Pomfrey said. "It's really horrible. But I can rub some more cream on and see if that clears it up faster."

Serenity pondered. "Hmm.. I've got something that'll hide my face, but put all the cream on you can, please."

Five minutes later, Serenity had stopped her and pulled out a bottle of mud-mask. She put it on her face.

Lavender face palm'd.

"Dearie, I said nothing," Madame Pomfrey said. "The mud mask will just make it a bit worse."

Madame Pomfrey dragged Serenity over to a sink, rinsed off the mask, and rubbed cream for a good solid ten minutes. After that, it looked like Serenity had only gotten a few bug bites. "That's all I can do, I'm out of cream," Madame Pomfrey shrugged. "Remember, nothing to hide it, but when you wake up tomorrow morning it should be all better. If you put something on it, it'll all come back."

Serenity glumly went outside, grabbed her little sister Selia, and went totally makeover on the hair. Actually she was just trimming it and making it its natural color again.

Rachel came running in, screaming, and scratching herself. "Madam Pomfrey - My Body! What's happened to it!?" she sputtered out, looking scared, itchy, and overall umcomfortable.

Madame Pomfrey winced. "Oh, it's those plants from Herbology. Serenity had a bad case of it. Stop scratching them, it'll make it worse. Now, take some of this" - she gave Rachel a miniature bottle of The Cream - "and rub it over the infected areas until the cream is gone. Then just wait until tomorrow morning, and make sure you do NOT put ANYTHING or scratch the rash. It'll be all cleared up."

Same with Robin.

Rachel still though, tried to scratch them. "Erugh, they feel horrible! I can't help but continue to scratch them! Darn it though!" Rachel looked angry now. "I bet it was Padma..." she grumbled quietly.

"It was, I bet. She wasn't in the room, and she was the only one with no plants in her bed." Robin growled. She kept clenching and unclenching her fists, resisting the urge of itching.
"And, do we have to remove our clothing? Or can we wear stuff over the rashes?"

"You can do the cream in private, over ALL of the infested areas. Do NOT scratch, or it WILL get worse."

"Yeah, but I think I have some down my back and on my stomach. We can put baggy clothing over it, right?"

Rachel looked down at her tank-top and sweat pants. "I'm just going to keep wearing this, it's loose and nice." she muttered.

"Yeah. You can wear stuff over the rashes. You don't have to walk around naked."

"Crap!" said Rachel, right there in front of Madam Pomfrey. "We have to miss the Qudduitch game! And I was going to cheer for Hufflepuff, too..."

"Oh, good. I didn't want to not be able to go to the Quidditch game." Robin breathed out releaved.
