Lavender and her family arrived at the cousin's house. This time, Cara had come with them, so it was still pretty crowded.

"Hey, Felicie!" Lavender yelled once she arrived, and glomped her cousin. Gertrud glomped Cara for the lulz, Holly glomped Grace (to no avail, as Holly was very small, all she did was jump on Grace's back), the adults were talking in German, and Drew just stood there, writing stuff in his cosplay Death Note.

"Oh my gosh, Lavender, this is gonna be the most fun summer you've ever had!" Felicie exclaimed to her little cousin, and pulled Lavender inside the house. "I'm used to speaking in English since I'm tutoring this one English kid in his German at the Muggle school - the Muggles are so fascinating - and I have to speak in English for him since he fails at German. But this is going to be great! I'm going to give you a whole new look and everything, and you'll be so awesome-looking! That guy you like will totally fall for you!"

"But looks don't really matter," Lavender reasoned as she was dragged up the stairs and into the room Felicie and Gertrud share. "Isn't it about personality? Take Holly and Fry for example - they're really good friends, and they don't care how each other looks."

"You told me about them," Felicie said, searching through her bureau. "You say they make a really cute couple."

"They do. I'll let you make me 'pretty' if, and only if it doesn't hurt and/or you completely change my looks. Like dye my hair black or something."

"I'm actually honestly shocked that you're the only child without black hair on that side of the family. You're the odd one out."

"So I've been told constantly by you when we were younger. -_-"

"But it's true! :D"

Lavender sat on Felicie's bed, and crossed her legs. Felicie sat behind her, with a box labeled "Lavender." Felicie opened the box. Lavender tried to look to see what was inside, but Felicie made Lavender face the wall - a pretty robin's egg blue wall.

"It's not gonna hurt," Felicie said. "I just gotta brush it, first."

Lavender winced slightly as the brush smoothly made it way through her hair. Then it caught a tangle and Lavender began to scream as Felicie tried to pull the brush through the tangle.

"AHHHHH SENSITIVE SCALP SENSITIVE SCALP OWWWWW! YOU LIAR, YOU SAID IT WOULDN'T HURRRRRRT!" Lavender yelled.

"You're thirteen, deal with it!" Felicie yelled back, and soon, Lav's hair was all brushed and stuff. Her hair now reached about the bottom of her ribcage, and her bangs touched her eyelashes. "Your hair is really nice, but it could use some improvement. A little trim and some highlights or streaks or something."

"Have you even thought this out?" Lavender asked.

"Not really. I wanted to see how you looked when you came."

"So, what electives did you take for third year?" Felicie asked. "Mum said that you guys at Hogwarts get to take electives for third year."

"Care of Magcical Creatures, Divination, and Ancient Runes," Lavender said. She could see some auburn hair falling onto the covers. "... You're cutting it? D:"

"Yeah. Just a little trim, though," Felicie assured Lavender. "Trust me. You'll look wonderful."

And so, Lavender was "made pwettyful" over the course of the next two hours. When she looked in the mirror, she covered her mouth. She barely recognized herself. Her eyes widened, and she let the mirror slip from her hands. Felicie caught it, as she didn't want seven years of bad luck or whatever.

"Is that Lavender Brown in the mirror?" Lavender asked. "I don't recognize her - who is she? Her hair and eyes look oddly familiar to mine."

"You look great! Trust me!" Felicie grinned. "You've just been a silly tomboy all of your life - it's time to grow past that stage, and become a girl."

Lavender turned away from Felicie and poked herself. She was still flat. -_-

"Okay, so, that can't be fixed... it'll just be a matter of time, trust me, Lav!"

"Oh! I should be in France with my parents!" Cara called from downstairs. "I'm getting on a plane and leaving you losers, bye! :D"

Lavender turned to Felicie. "You ruined me. I look horrible. T_T"

"You look fine!" Felicie assured Lavender. She put a hand on one of Lavender's shoulders and guided her to the full-length mirror. "Look and tell me that looks bad!"

"It looks bad," Lav said, staring in the mirror and crossing her arms. "I look nothing like my old self. It'll take forever to get back to looking like normal. -_-"

"Oh, you just have no self-esteem."

"I have plenty of self-esteem, you just gave me a stupid makeover that renders me incapable of tapping into my awesomeness!"

"Oh, shut up. You just need to adjust."

"Fine. >.>"

"If you still hate it at the end of summer, I'll speed-rush you back to normal."

"'Kay."

Meanwhile, Holly was writing a letter to Fry.

& The owl arrived 30 minutes later. With a letter. OMG.

Holly!

You wrote to me! Awesome.

You heard Lavender screaming? Makeover? Eh, that's just weird.
Psh, Cara was all over the place with Harry in our first year. She was such a pain in the butt, I always wanted to charm that messy bush of hers... Casey acted weird on the train. I mean, you sure something's up? [[wait for it...]] What if she's taking the path that the 'Slytherin rumours' mention? That wouldn't be cool.

But remember, I'll always be there for you.

Man, that phrase sounded familiar. That would be cool though, if you were extremely tan- tanner than meh. Remember that sunburn I had at the beginning of the year? I felt like a freak.

AND THAT MEANS I DON'T HAVE TO LOOK DOWN AT YOU!

"Oh, I threw that away. It started to smell," Lavender said. She sat on a stool beside her sister, who was sitting on the island in the kitchen. "Holly, I think you have a crush on Fry. Nobody sits around doing nothing for three hours just to send letters to somebody of the opposite gender."
