Hall Outside Of Interviewing Room

Kelsi stood back here with Robin. They were the letter C, and there were only two people in front of them. It's already been a hour, though. The interviews were brief, and so far nobody has been spared. Kelsi felt horrible. As though she were going to throw up. Some man already did throw up. Fry stood between them, staring straight ahead.

How could he cope so well? I never knew my younger brother could be so mature. What happened to that crazy little short-tempered kid? He was holding out so well. Kelsi thought to herself. She looked down at her feet. Look at me, crying at every moment. I wasn't like this at Hogwarts. What happened?

"Cruise, Fry." said a voice.

An obnoxiously and painfully sweet and sickly voice, at that.

Kelsi twitched. Suddenly, she looked enraged. "Noooo way..." she hissed.

Robin didn't really like that voice either.

Fry shook his head. "Damn, this'll be fun."

"Seriously, not the time for sarcasm. We're screwed." Robin muttered.

"Fucked," Kelsi added.

"Hurry up." barked the voice.

Fry ran forwards. He nodded sharply, and entered. He felt himself mindlessly be lead to a chair and shoved into it. "U-umm, what is this?" He stared as the chains rolled around his wrists. "I don't have my wand, I can't do any harm."

"So you don't run away, dearie." said Professor Umbridge in her sickly sweet voice. But, it was extra sweet sounding, on a count that Umbridge was feeling extra cruel recently. Potter and those brats had let many mudbloods escape a month or two ago, and Umbridge wasn't intending on letting anyone else run away at this point.

"Now, I have a few questions to ask you, and we must get through them." She put on a pair of ugly reading glasses, with a pair of hot pink frames. "Is it true your name is Anand Cruise?, otherwise known as simply Fry?" she asked.

Fry nodded. "Yes, yes. That's it.I'd prefer it if you called me Fry." he said quietly, immediately flinching when he said it. Probably he should be demanding too much, just try and slide through easily...

Umbridge just ignored that comment, and continued. "Is it true that you are sixteen years old, and you attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and you're in the house of Gryffindor?"

Fry nodded. "Yes." he replied shortly, and tried to adjust his weight.

Out of a small bag, Umbridge pulled out his wand. "And, is it true that you hae been using this wand for your 'magic?'"

Fry nodded again. "Yeah, that's the one." He said quietly.

"Now, will you please tell me which wizard or witch that you stole this from?"

Fry frowned, then blinked a few times. "W-what?"

"Sorry Fry. You have Muggle parents. You can't possibly have magic unless you sold it. Now, tell me who the correct owner of this wand is or I'll personally snap it into two myself."

"I- I got it when I recieved a letter from Hogwarts. I was born with the magic. You see, when I was younger, I would burn things, which is where I got the nickname-- err... I never stole it. I didn't even know it was possible."

"Made-up lies. Delusions." said Umbridge, delicately opening up a bowl of sugar, and spooning some cubes into her cup of tea. One, two three. "Mr. Cruise, I am serious. If you don't tell me who the proper owner is of this wand, I'll break it into two pieces, and you'll be sent to Azkaban for breaking a wizard or witch's wand."

"But- that would have been YOU who snapped it! YOU would be the one going to Azkaban! I would NEVER lie in court. Give me a bible, and I'll swear upon it!" he cried out.

"I actually have respect in the Ministry." Umbridge swirled the sugar in her teacup, and she took a sip, her pudgy little pinky sticking out. "That rule only applies to Mudbloods, Mr. Cruise. Purebloods would ONLY snap a wand for a legitimate reason." She then glared evilly at Fry.

"And, I think I do now." She then picked up his wand, and snapped it into two, and she threw the broken pieces. Umbridge whirled around at a guard and snapped at him. "Take the boy back to the back room this instant. We'll discuss his fate, and the other Mudbloods later."

And then out of nowhere, a burly Death Eater unshackled Fry, and took him back to the back room.

Fry was frozen, his eyes wide, and his shoulders were shaking. As that wand snapped, he felt something inside him snap, too. But as he was taken away, he hid his face and stared darkly at the floor.The man held on tightly to him. He was back into the hall where he passed his sisters, but didn't bother looking up.

"Cattermole, Mary."
