Woman's Resting Camp

Robin was settled at the resting camp. They were only halfway to Azkabaan, and there was no way out. She couldn't escape. There was no use. At least they got a new set of clothes, and some better food. She stretched out on the flat, dead mattress on the floor that was shared with two other women, and stared up. Sitting up, she looked to the other side, and hissed, "Nicky! Nicky!"

Nicolas was sleeping on a different mattress right beside theirs, wedged in between two women. It felt... quite awkward. Especially now that rather than having a plain T-shirt, he had an orange-pink dress, that went to his knees. He didn't budge in his sleep.

Robin leaned over and poked Nicolas in the forehead. "Wake up!" she hissed in his ear.

Nicolas opened his eyes, staring over at Robin. "What?" he mumbled sleepily.

"I can't sleep. Plus, the women on my mattress snore like... well. Yeah."

"Okay. But I'm sleeping." Nicolas sighed. The lady next to him flailed in her sleep, draping her arm across his abdomen. "... Well, damn."

"Just pull the arm off." Robin snapped.

"I might wake her up!"

"Gently. It's not that hard."

Nicolas gently picked her arm up, setting it down on the mattress. "... There. What do you really want?"

"I can't sleep. I'm scared to fall asleep. It's like back in the 1940's. I never thought I'd experience this. You know what I'm talking about, right? Everyone does."

"Like the Holocaust? With the nazis and stuff?"

Robin nodded. "Exactly. You-Know-Who is Hitler, The Nazi are the Death Eaters, and Azkaban would be Auschwitz, with tons of smaller camps like these." Robin said quietly.

"What are the Auschwitz? I don't speak German. And when I went to primary school we didn't go in-depth with the Holocaust."

"It's the huge concentration camp." Robin replied. She lifted her legs to her chest and hugged them. They seemed thinner, and smaller. She herself seemed thinner and smaller. The whole summer of being locked away in the dark with lack of food had caused her to be pale and and underweight with an undernourished complexion.

"Oh, those." Nicolas looked down at his lap, stroking his chin. And that's when he realized that he had stubble. Scowling, he cursed under his breath. Now, they'd figure out he wasn't really a girl and he'd get sent away or even killed--or, that was just his imagination running off in all sorts of directions. What if he WAS killed? What would Rachel do? Would she not know?

Robin looked at Nicolas. "You seem troubled."

"I am troubled. I've got facial hair, Robin."

Robin gasped. "Shit," she whispered. "Well... what do we do?"

"I--I don't know!" Nicolas snapped. "This was all your idea!"

"I had a feeling you were more likely to survive if you came with us, Nick!" she snapped back angrily. "Okay. Stay here. I'll somehow find a razor. You... you watch." Robin sat up and looked around in the dark. She breathed heavily. She looked around, then her eyes stopped at her legs. She paused. Even thought it was dark, she could feel it. Her legs... well, they were hairy. From the summer. She then sat down and looked at Nicolas. "I have it all planned out." she whispered.

"Well, tell me!" he urged her.

Robin glanced at him. "Just... just wait." She pressed her fingers against her forehead. "Yes. Okay. So." She lowered her voice. "Tomorrow, I'm going to ask them to give us razors, we need to shave our legs. And I'll be doing it in a way that will convince them. You'll see. Every woman will get a razor, including you. And you'll be able to use it on your face secretly. Unfortunately, you'll have to shave your legs, too..." She frowned at his legs.

Nicolas glanced at his legs. They were scrawny, and admittedly had blonde hair all over them. "But I've only shaved my face! I don't know how to shave my legs! Wouldn't it feel weird?"
