Amanda thought for a second. "My father was prue... my mother muggle born... Am I safe?!"

"Yeah, but, you're... you, right?"

"I'm me? . .. Potter! They'll take me in for my mom, then kill me for my name!" Amanda quickly took in five quick breathes. "I'm putting you... in danger..."

"Screw that, they can't kill me! I'm too beautiful to be killed. And I'd never let them get you. Not in a million years."

A few tears slipped down Amanda's face as she looked straight into Wallace's eyes. "I want to believe you.... but how can you save me if you're dead?"

"Don't cry, love. Like I said, they can't kill either of us." He reached over and wiped the tears away. D'awww.

Amanda shook her head, slightly pushing his hand away as she did. "They've killed almost everyone I've loved. I can't risk... you..." Amanda leaned towards him...

And Wallace leaned away. "They're still alive... right? Everyone else..."

"Wallace! My parents are gone, Harry is the same because he's so distant towards me, and all I have left are mt friends and you!"

"Exactly. Your friends are still alive, right? That's not everyone!"

"I-I can't take the chance, Wallace!" AManda began to edge towards the door.

"If you can't rely on your friends in your situation, then who can you rely on?"

Amanda fingers touched the door knob, she slowly turned it. "Myself, I guess."

"And you think I'm dumb." He turned away from her and pouted.

"Stop putting words in my mouth!" Amanda reached away from the doorknob.

"You thought it!"

"You can read my mind?!"

"No, I'm putting words in your mouth!"

Amanda grabbed the doorknob yet again. "Wallace..."

"What?"

"I love you." Amanda slowly opened the door, stepped out, and closed it. She began to run down the stairs, then stopped, thinking about where to apparate.

Amanda decided on home and left, the small popping noise was all that was left.

He stared at the door. Even though it was too late, he mumbled in return, "I love you too."

Wallace looked down at the fully set-up game of Mouse Trap. "... Well, at least ..." He sat down criss-cross-applesauce next to it, got a goofy grin on his face, and began to play the game by himself.
