Hufflepuff Common Room

Nicolas was sitting in the squishy armchair by the fireplace, reading one of his textbooks and taking notes, hoping that Matt wouldn't come and annoy him or something.

That next morning, Kelsi was up early in the morning and had decided to rest on the couch. She had her uniform on, and had her hair brushed and pulled back into a low ponytail. She was finishing some homework for her classes today.

Amanda ran down and plopped down on the chair across from where Kelsi was sitting. "Morning~!" No make-up what-so-ever was on her face.

Kelsi never wore makeup. She turned to Amanda. "Hey, you're up!" she exclaimed, and grinned brightly.

"Yeah. I got up before my alarm clock, so I decided to get ready early. Much easier than running around last minute." Amanda eyed Kelsi's papers. "What class you working on?"

"Charms. Professor Flitwick gave us tons of homework."

"Oh that sucks. My class got a lot of work IN class. Not out of it."

"I don't care about the work in the class."

"Same... they should give us less home work and more class work."

"Yeah... I went to bed really early last night."

"Yeah. I had a bunch of night classes."

"I didn't know you could have night classes..."

"I have something after dinner and Astronomey."

"That's weird, they never did that before..."

"Yeah well..."

"Well yeah..." Kelsi sighed. It was suddenly very quiet except for the crackling fire and rapid scribbles of Kelsi's writing.

"So! How was your first day?"

"Boring... Hey, want to head to the Great Hall?"

Kelsi was in the Hufflepuff common room, working on some charms homework- learning how to make invisible ink visible. in her hand, she had a quil, and borrowed bottle of ink from Professor Flitwick, and was doodling randomly on the page. She had the first few doodles in a clear, transculent gray, but could only be visible under a strong source of light. And so, she kept practicing. Drawing a flower in the top right corner, then pointing her wand at it, she said loudly, but softly (not to disturb the other Hufflepuffs):
"Aparecium!"

Kelsi was sitting at a table by the window. She was writing a letter to her family and Drew. But in mid-word on the parchment, Kelsi got lost in thought while watching the trees in the Forbidden forest from her window. Her eyes were half-closed, and her face was drawn in a nervous expression. What was Olivia doing? Is she fine? All because of a chair... Kelsi thought. Surprisingly, she was quite lucky today, except for her morning. She scraped through an okay grade on her quiz in Care of Magical Creatures, but still, for some reason, she felt bothered.

Libby sneaked up behind Kelsi, and silently peered over her shoulder, reading over the letters, holding her breath as to not let Kelsi know that she was there. But eventually, she gave up and just said into her ear, "Heywhatchadoin'?"

Kelsi flailed forwards, stretching her arms over the small table, scrambling to get all the letters. "N-nothing! I mean, I was making letters, You know, for my family..." Then a bit more quietly, "And Drew..." Then, she said in a normal voice, "But I lost track of what I was doing, and kind of started to daydream."

"I could see that. You looked really out of it. You didn't guard your letters that well, I could read them." Libby shook her index finger in the air and did a tsk-tsk-tsk sound. "Thinking about Dreeeeeeeeew?"

Matt was prowling around in the Hufflepuff Common Room at the time... looking for someone to annoy. And bug. And pester.

Nicolas was off in some corner, reading from his Arithmency book. Studying. y'know.
