Amanda's house.

"Still the twenty-fourth. And, I'd love some."

Amanda poured some milk into two mugs, and nuked them in the microwave for a minute and forty-five seconds each. She put a spoon and each, and poured the mix in. After mixing them, she gave Olivia her's. "Want to go skating today?"

"Not really. Just hiked around a parking lot forest. No luck."

"Ah. Well. Don't burn yourself on the hot chocolate."

"Nah, I'm immune to mouth-burns." Olivia sipped her hot chocolate, then frowned. "... Do I smell smoke?"

Amanda told Olivia about the trio. "So, yeah, you smell left over fire."

Olivia was giving Amanda her signature blank stare. In the time it took to tell that story, she had finished her hot chocolate. "They still here?"

"Nah. They were pretty close to where you are sitting." Amanda motioned towards the table in the corner. "They were where the table should be... I know this is sudden, but do you think I can spend the night with you? I understand if it's a no, seeing as it is Christmas... But it's really weird to be alone on Christmas."

"Yeah, sure." A pause. "Serenity's there, you know."

Amanda paused to think. "Eh, the girl can't be hostile on Christmas."

"Oh, she can."

"Ah well, I'll avoid her. You sure it's cool?"

"Sure, it's cool! You'll need a sleeping bag."

Amanda pulled one out from no where. "... I still have to clean up from the Death Eater raid at some point."

"Eh, next week. Boxing day. You know."

"True, true! I forgot about Boxing Day!"

"Where's that from?"

"... Who even knows." As they spoke, Amanda was throwing together an Over Night bag. Clothes, toothbrush/past, pillow, and a loooooot of random stuff if they happend to be bored.

Amanda left the room for two minutes, coming back in a pair of navy blue jeans, and a long blue and gray striped sweater with long sleeves that went. Her hair was brushed, and she looked decent.

"Onward?"

Olivia wondered where she was going to get a tree. Maybe they just wouldn't have one that year.

"So, did you guys decorate the tree yet?"

"Nope."

Amanda studied her facial expression. "Do you have one?"

Olivia shook her head.

Without a word, Amanda went to the basement. Ten mintues later she came up with a five foot five inches tall plastic blue and purple tree. "Shabam."
