So they boated over to the Ally?

Olivia was lying facedown on the beige suede couch sitting in the middle of the living room of Illumination Manor. She had stayed up the entire previous night sending letters back and forth to Charlie about trivial things that had happened recently, for instance, the fact that the headmaster was dead, or that Olivia had found a giant lobster lying on the shore the moment she stepped off the boat. So, she was tired. And even worse, the air conditioning hadn't kicked in since she got home, since it was left off so long, and it was definitely over 100 degrees in some corners of the house.

Angel wasn't home from school yet, and there had been no word from Elroy since the sentence sent to Rachel over eight months ago. Ari had settled down with her husband on the mainland, so she wouldn't be returning any time soon. So, Olivia was completely alone, and would be for the next week until Angel got back.

Sure, she could just apparate to Forest Hills or Amanda's house or something, and yet, she just laid there on the couch, occasionally turning her head to take a breath, then turning her face back into the soft cushion. Olivia didn't want to go anywhere that day, or for a while. Despite the horrible heat and the humidity, it was good to be home.

"Olivia!" Serenity yelled, running through the fire, holding a couple of bags and the dreaded pamphlet. "O-Olivia!" Serenity started crying a bit. "Can I stay here? Please?? It's really-- really.. It's just so scary. Dumbledore's dead- and then the Ministry sends out this!" She handed the pamphlet to her friend.

Olivia turned her head to look at the pamphlet. She stared at it for a moment. Her eyes widened. "Oh, god... You're a half, right? Sure you can stay... Oh god, what about Kelsi!?"

"I don't know, I came straight here. Selia's with her friends.." Serenity sat down on the couch, biting her lower lip. "Are you the only one here?"

She nodded, sitting up and trying to untangle a large knot that had taken its place in her hair. "Have been for the past few days..."

"So is it just going to be us? Oh, God, Olivia, you know they're making people say their blood status? Kelsi-- I don't think she'll be able to go to Hogwarts."

"Are you kidding me!? But Hogwarts is supposed to be like a safehaven for them, right!? Dumbledore would have let them in!" Olivia gave up on the knot, letting her hands flop to her sides. "Hey, who's going to be Headmaster?"

"Well not anymore. I dunno who's going to, I suppose one of the teachers.. Or maybe a Death Eater."

"Oh, God, there's no way they'd... What if it was an undercover Death Eater? What if all of the teachers are!? Oh, Christ... We're screwed... YOU'RE screwed, I'm safe, but..."

"Jesus Christ on a popsicle stick! Oh my God! I'm so screwed!"

Olivia stared at Serenity. "... Dude, you ruined the serious moment."

"Whatever. Is Angel or Elroy coming home soon? It makes me nervous, home alone."

"Elroy's probably not coming back any time soon... Anj will be back next week, I think."

Serenity nodded, frowning and trying not to bite her nails. "I sent him an apology letter, and I think we made up, I suppose."

"Good for you." Olivia nodded. "Haven't talked to him in a while."
