Potions Class

Kelsi did the face, resisting all there was not to laugh, and she quickly began tearing apart the waxed herbs for the potion.

Amanda shrugged and started the potion.

Serenity burst into the potions room, holding her letter frantically.
"MY MOM HAD HER BABY!" She screamed, waving the pictures frantically. A little blonde baby was in one, asleep and stirring around every once in a while, and the other one was Serenity's mother holding the baby.

Amanda looked up at serenity, her eyes wide. She didn't react much yet because she hadn't actually got the message through and just had heard a scream. Then she focused on the pictures and smiled.

(I'll be Professor Snape)

Professor Snape sneered at her for a minute before saying: "That's lovely, Miss Rosensteel. You may now take your seat. And ten points will be taken from Ravenclaw because of your insolence."

Serenity plopped down next to Kelsi, grinning happily.

Libby looked towards Serenity, offered her smile, and then turned back to her work.

Amanda turned to Serenity for a minute and gave her a thumbs up, then continued the brewing of the ptoion.

Rachel continued to brew her potion rather boredly.

She wished she had a little sister. She did have Karin, but Karin was a bit of a failure. Sometimes, Rachel felt as though Karin was the older, more mature one. So Serenity, was super lucky.

So, she continued to chop up herbs, thinking how lucky Serenity was to have another little sister.

"That's totally awesome!!" screamed Olivia, who was too far into oblivion right now to work on the potion properly. She was just dropping everything in at once. It turned a nasty puce color.

Serenity started chopping up stuff hurriedly and dropping it in at random, making sure she had the right ingredients, but not even bothering to look in the book after that. She could be good at potions if she tried, potions was like cooking, but she thought it was terribly boring and the mixtures were only good for color samples. So, Serenity continued randomly mixing her cauldron until it turned a pretty neon cyan. She bottled it and looked at it up to the light curiously.
"Pretty color, what do you think, Kels?"

Professor Snape looked up for a moment from the essays he was grading from the third years. "You're potion should be turning into a bright red color. The ending result of the potion should be a red-orange color." He than proceeded to sit back down in his desk, and continue to grade the essays.

Selia Rosensteel - A he scribbled down in his spiky, but in a way, girly looking hand writing.

Amanda looked at her potion and gasped. She actually was doing it right =o. She really relied on luck in this class XD.

Serenity looked disappointed, then quickly put in some more leaves. Stirred. The potion turned a sickly green color. She scooped in some random ingredient. Stirred. It turned purple. She scooped in another ingredient. Stirred. It turned into a really, in her opinion, quite cute pale yellow-green color. Looking around, she realized she really didn't care what she got, bottled some more of the yellow-green, and sat back to chill out.

Libby looked in her potion. It was the color red - not bright red, but still a red all the same. She continued to follow the instructions, hoping that her potion would be the red-orange color that Professor Snape had specified.

Rachel looked down at her potion, to see how she was doing. It was more of a pink-ish color. So, she decided to add in some grind cod fish bones. She threw in three hand fulls of in it, and the potion turned into a...

Neon green color. Like the color of a bright green sign you would find in a city.

"Ewww,"

Amanda continued strirring.

Kelsi's potion was a bubbly yellow-orange that was sticking to the sides of her cauldron.

Cara's was a lovely mango color. She was glaring at it. Almost. Maybe if she just glared at it some more...

"Alright," said Professor Snape who once again stepped up to the front of the class. "I want you to clean up your work area, and cork some of your potion in a bottle for me to grade. For homework, I want a foot long essay on antidotes."

Libby's ended up red-orange - she put some in her bottle, and put the cork on it. She cleaned up her work area, gathered her things, put the bottle on Professor Snape's desk, and walked out to the next class.

Rachel with a sigh of annoyance, bottled up some of her neon green potion, and wrote her name on top of the cork of the bottle. Before turning it in, she quickly packed up all of her leftover potion ingredients, and packed up with her bag.

"I knew I shouldn't have added all that cod fish bone..." grumbled Rachel to herself as she walked out of the classroom.

Kelsi filled in her potion and carelessly tossed the bottle on Snape's desk. It rolled around before slowing to a stop.

Olivia bottled some of the ugly, crap-green potion and put it on Snape's desk on the way out.

Serenity plopped her potion on the desk, cleaned up her area, and ran out of class grinning and reading her letter over and over again, only stopping to grab her bag.
