Plane Ride to Japan

"What do you mean? Don't worry about money! This is vacation!"

"My last vacation was a disaster, though. All because I relaxed."

"Who says I'm relaxed?" Despite saying this, he stretched his arms and put them behind his head.

"It's obvious you are! You're always.. relaxed!"

"Oh. Well, I hate plane rides. If you haven't noticed, my feet are shaking." He said all this in a light voice, then grinned.

"I haven't noticed, I don't usually look at people's feet. Why do you hate plane rides?" Selia did look at his feet, then, after he had pointed out.

His feet were shaking a lot.

"They scare me. I feel unbalanced in the air."

Selia grabbed onto his hand. "Chill out. We're fine up here. We even have little beds. It's fun."

"Hey, I'm not TERRIFIED. At least I'm not doing what that baby over there is doing." He pointed to a baby who was screaming and kicking and crying.

"Oh, please don't. Actually.. It would be sort of interesting to see. Hey, do you remember when you first came into our train cabin and you didn't have shoes on?" Selia said, laughing.

"Really? I don't wear shoes often. But, I think I remember."

"It was when you first met us. I gave you a brownie.. Holly fell asleep.."

"I loved those brownies. And I called you all dude. HEY!" Jake screamed, causing a few people to turn to them. "I'm going to start calling you that from now on!"

"But I'm a girl!" Selia said, not really protesting, but laughing along with it. "Alright, fine."

He hooked his arm around her shoulder. "DUDE! Look. The seatbelt sign just flashed."

Suddenly, the plane lurched violently and Jake grabbed his seat screaming. The plane then got back on track, though.

"Jake! Don't scream, it's just turbulence. Chill out. Dude."

He stopped screaming. "I just realized we could have taken the fireplace instead of a plane."

Selia burst out laughing. "You're right! We should've... But this will help cure your fear of airplanes."

"Incurable!" he said matter-of-factly, with a finger in the air.

"No it isn't! Just.. Imagine we're sliding a giant banister to Japan."

"But we're not."

"Yeah, so? Imagine it."

"... Hmmmmmm..." Jake froze nervously and then opened his eyes again.
"WOO! FASTER! LET'S DO THIS!" He raised his hands in the air like a roller coaster.

Selia tried not to burst out laughing, and people stared at Jake. "Alright, that's great. Now let's just say we need to be quiet because Filch will give us detention if he catches us, okay? Oh, speaking of school, an upperclassmen and I are working on a charm.. The Patronus."

"Really?! That charm is... like... insanely hard."
